Well hello, beautiful soul!
I could tell you about expensive gear and years in the business and tricks of the trade. But those things aren’t what make me an unusual photographer.
I’d much rather tell you…
I keep prisms in my windows that sprinkle rainbows across my walls and sometimes I find one dancing around on my body and I almost always giggle out loud.
I love bad puns and dad jokes. Probably because my dad makes a lot of bad puns and dad jokes.
A piano got delivered to my apartment the morning my grandmother died. Her name was Chickie and she loved all things pink and sparkly. I think of her when I play.
I have a BS in zoology and a BA in French – I use neither of my degrees and that kinda makes me smile.
Practicing and encouraging body positivity is very important to me in my personal life and in my business.
Working for myself sounds glamorous but usually means long days editing photos from my couch without pants on. My boss doesn’t mind.
I still cry at weddings. I love old people’s wrinkles and babies’ chunky legs. I melt at the way lovers look at each other when they forget I’m watching. I see beauty and freedom in tears rolling down cheeks.
I’ve shot destination weddings in gorgeous European locations, but what moves me most is the look in your eyes when you say I love you. The shape your hands take when you hold someone you can’t imagine living without. The sound of wild laughter, the sound of joy, the sound of feeling really damn alive.
I’m Amy. And I can’t wait to meet you.
