WORKSHOPS

Welcome to creative portrait photography with Wild Awake! You can look forward to learning and practicing a new creative technique every week during class! The main portion of our time together will be structured around hands-on collaborative photoshoots where we explore the concept of the week. Some examples we may explore include blacklight paint, prisms, water, colorful lighting, making your own creative filters to shoot through, and more! Models and materials will be provided, just bring your camera or smartphone. There will also be some opportunities to jump in front of the camera if you’d like a few portraits of yourself! We’ll be focusing mainly on portraiture, but some of the techniques you’ll learn can be applied to other subjects as well. We’ll have time for questions each week and you’re welcome to ask me anything!

How much experience do I need?

Just about any experience level can benefit from this class, from the smartphone user to the experienced photographer. Camera users will likely have a wider range of options for creative expression, but smartphone users will still have plenty of ways to explore as well. If you’re a beginner photographer and would like like to rent one of my cameras for class, I can help you with camera settings!

How many people will be attending?

Class will be capped at 8 people.

I do also have individual mentorship sessions available before or after class!

Our objectives are to spark creativity, create compelling imagery, learn some new techniques, and have fun in creative community!
